Concealed Carry Classes   16 hours (Illinois)

Tuition includes course materials:

This course is a minimum 16 hours and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; how to load and unload your firearm, correct and proper way to clear jams / misfires, etc, two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Illinois Concealed Carry Act including, but not limited to Use of Force in Defense of a Person, Use of Force in Defense of Dwelling, Use of Force in Defense of Other Property, and Unlawful Use of Weapons. Lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm and instruction on prohibited areas and the parking lot exception.

This course satisfies Illinois FOID Statutes, Concealed Carry Act and ILLINOIS handgun Carry permit CCW training requirements.

NRA Home Firearms Safety           4 hours

Tuition includes Course materials:

This classroom course teaches students the NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearms parts; how to load and unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care;  safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA home firearm safety handbook, NRA gun safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training brochure and course completion certificate

NRA  Basic Pistol Shooting              8 hours

Tuition includes course materials:

This course is a minimum 8 hours and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; how to load and unload your firearm,  correct and proper way to clear jams / misfires, etc, shooting from the bench rest position, two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet. Take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Exam, and course completion Certificate

This course satisfies UTAH, FLORIDA and ILLINOIS* handgun Carry permit CCW training requirements

NRA Personal Protection in the Home            8 hours

Tuition includes course materials:

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.

This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. The NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course participants must be law abiding, adults (at least 21 years old), and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Instructor’s Pre-Course Assessment.

Equipment Required: Semi-automatic pistol or revolver in .38 caliber or larger, a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition, hearing & eye protection
